Don't Look Up, Engineer I look inside the eye of your mind, And what do I find? All work and no play? To so many lectures you've been So all the labs that you've seen Slowly fade away... You put the wheels in revolution while I stay in bed, Cos the brains I had are now outside my head. You can't step outside to that winter gloom Don't fall into that flaming hearth, What's that smug look on my face, I'm so lazy I won't burn myself out.... And so, study can wait I know it's too late When the evening's gone by My time slips away, But don't look up, Engineer! Too much work today. Take me to the lab where you go Where nobody knows If it's night or day. Please don't put your life in the hands of my legal skills as I've thrown my notes away I think of the solutions from my bed While all the practicals send you off your head Don't step outside 'cos it'll be your doom Don't forget why you're in this place What's that look upon your face? You've got one big big degree to sort out..... And so study can't wait! You know it's too late, When lab closing time's by! Sanity slips away But don't look up Engineer, What can I say? At least not today!.....
